A background in library service led Kelsey Black into the strange and wonderful realm of art galleries and museums where there are always stories to find and audiences eager to listen. She holds a BFA with Great Distinction from the University of Lethbridge in Art History/Museum Studies. Professionally she has focused on accessible programming to meet the needs of diverse communities and curatorial projects that bring challenging or overlooked subjects to life. Her research interests lay within the intersections of medical science and aesthetics, cultural constructions and representations of death, and the human body’s place in contemporary Canadian art.
